How can I view Safari® Books Online?
Log in with your ACM web account username and password from any ACM Learning Center page or at the book details page. To get to the book details page, choose among the Safari® Books Online titles by category.

Who can use the Safari® Books Online program?
The Safari® Books Online offered by ACM are available to all current ACM Professional Members only.

What books are available?
Prospective members can explore ACM's Custom Collection of Safari® Books Online on the catalog page. You may also browse and search in the Safari® Books Online site by logging in with your ACM web account username and password.

How do the bookshelves work?
Once you've logged into the Safari® Books Online interface, you can look through partial content of books. This preview mode allows you to decide if you'd like to add the book to your bookshelf. To access the full online contents of a book, you must first add the book to your bookshelf.

You are allowed to have ten (10) titles on your bookshelf at any given time. A title must stay on your bookshelf for one month, after which time you may remove it and replace it with a different title. You may swap up to two (2) books per month. Note that there is no limit to the number of books you can view partially, outside of your bookshelf.

Is there a Safari mobile app?
Yes, you can now access the free Safari To Go app (available on iOS/Android mobile devices). Just follow these simple steps:

1. Download the iOS app from the Apple iTunes App Store or the Android app through Google Play.
2. Launch the app. On the home screen, click on Alternate Sign In.
3. On the new page that opens, enter the Organization ID: "ACM".
4. You will see a new page prompting you to log in with your ACM Web Account. Enter your username and password and enjoy access to ACM's custom collection of 700 mobile-optimized books and videos.

Can I read books when my phone or tablet is not connected to the Internet?
Yes. For your convenience, the Safari To Go app allows you to download and cache up to 3 books in the Offline Bookbag so you can keep reading your book even when you're not connected to the web.

(Note: You will need to add the book to your 10-Slot Bookshelf before you can add it to the Offline Bookbag.)

What if I don't have an iOS/Android phone or tablet, or don't want to download the app? Can I still get mobile access?
Members using Android and iOS phones, tablets, and other mobile devices can enjoy mobile-optimized learning without Safari To Go. After logging into Safari, just click on the Switch to Mobile Site link found at the bottom of every Safari Books Online webpage. You will be able to browse, search, and navigate your folders on your mobile device.

What other features are available when reading books?
You can add notes and bookmarks to the books on your bookshelves, view and re-run your recent searches and browse through your recently accessed content.

How much does the online book program cost?
Access to Safari® Books Online is complimentary for all ACM Professional Members.

How does copyright apply to electronic books?
Copyright applies to all electronic content including electronic books. Safari Online Books monitors the use of its resources. In some cases of abuse, access can be revoked. Due to copyright restrictions, you can only email or print at the page level (not the chapter or section level), one page at a time.
