How can I access Safari Learning Platform?
Log in with your ACM Web Account username and password from any ACM Learning Center page (click Safari from the top right navigation) or through myACM (left sidebar).

Who can use the Safari program?
The Safari┬« Learning Platform offered by ACM is available to all current ACM Professional and Student Members.

What titles are available?
There are nearly 50,000+ online books, video courses and conference videos, learning paths, tutorials, and live online training classes from O'Reilly and other top publishers.

How does the new Queue "bookshelf" work?
Please note that your "bookshelf" in Safari Classic has been replaced with Safari's queue bookshelf feature. Your queue in Safari is where you can save your favorite titles, or ones you want to read, watch, or listen to later. It's really easy to add titles to your queue, and access them later. With the new Safari Learning Platform interface you can read any book or watch any video you like the moment you open it. If you come across a title to save for later please select the queue icon. It will be added to your personal queue located on the left side of the interface. There is no limit to how many titles you can add and the interface will categorize your selection by topic.

Is there a Safari mobile app?
Yes, you can now access the free Safari Queue app (available on iOS/Android mobile devices). Just follow these simple steps:

1. Download the iOS app from the Apple App Store or the Android app through Google Play
2. Launch the app.
3. On the welcome screen it will prompt you to enter your ACM Web Account username or email. Please enter your @acm.org email address. Click the Sign In button.
4. Once you enter your email an 'Authenticate' button will appear. Click on it, and it will open a browser page. On this screen enter your ACM Web Account username and password.
5. Once accepted it will redirect you into the Safari Queue App.

Is all Safari content supported in the Queue App?
The vast majority of Safari content is supported in the mobile app, but Safari sometimes publishes content that works best on desktop. Examples of content that is excluded from the app are the Oriole Tutorials and the PDF-based books that don't reflow to fit the variety of devices that run Queue.

Can I read books when my phone or tablet is not connected to the Internet?
Yes. For your convenience, the Safari Queue app allows you to download unlimited books and videos for offline use. You can also sync your Safari queue from with the website, search the Safari catalog and add new items to your queue from within the app, control font size and toggle night mode for reading comfort, and start reading on one device and pick up where you left off on another.

What if I don't have an iOS/Android phone or tablet, or don't want to download the app? Can I still get mobile access?
Members using Android and iOS phones, tablets, and other mobile devices can enjoy mobile-optimized learning without Safari Queue. Log in to Safari Learning Platform as you would on a desktop to access Safari's reactive, mobile-optimized site. You will be able to browse, search, and navigate your folders on your mobile device.

What other features are available in the Safari Learning Platform?
You can add notes, highlights, and bookmarks to any book you're reading, change font size and toggle night mode for reading comfort, as well as view your recently accessed content by clicking on History in the left sidebar. You are also eligible for O'Reilly conference discounts and newsletters, both accessible from the Safari Learning Platform.

Can I personalize my experience?
Yes, when you log in for the first time you will be prompted to select the topics that interest you. Items that pertain to these topics as well as items that match your recent searches will be added to the Recommendations section located in the left sidebar. You can change the topics that matter to you at any time by going to Setting and Your Topics in the left sidebar.

What happened to Safari Premium?
The Safari Premium package is no longer being offered.

How does copyright apply to electronic books?
Copyright applies to all electronic content including electronic books. Safari monitors the use of its resources. In some cases of abuse, access can be revoked. Due to copyright restrictions, you can only email or print at the page level (not the chapter or section level), one page at a time.
